Job Overview

RoseRyan is a distinguished consulting firm in the accounting sector, dedicated to delivering customized advisory solutions to businesses of various scales.

We are in search of a skilled SEC Technical Accountant to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in assisting our clients with adherence to SEC reporting standards while offering expert advice on intricate accounting issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze data to support managerial decisions.
  • Guarantee compliance with SEC reporting obligations, including the preparation and examination of regular financial statements and accompanying notes.
  • Investigate and interpret accounting standards, such as US GAAP and SEC regulations, to provide informed guidance on accounting and reporting challenges.
  • Draft and evaluate technical accounting memoranda to substantiate and clarify accounting positions and conclusions.
  • Support clients in navigating complex accounting scenarios, including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, mergers and acquisitions, and capital transactions.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including external auditors, legal advisors, and financial reporting departments, to ensure precise and timely financial disclosures.
  • Remain informed about new accounting and reporting standards and evaluate their implications for client financial statements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline; CPA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting, particularly in SEC reporting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with Workiva or similar platforms.
  • Experience handling complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Strong analytical and research capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Compensation: $80-$90/hr DOE
