Position Overview
We are in search of a driven and seasoned accounting professional eager to elevate their career.
The ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic, fast-paced business landscape and demonstrate the adaptability required to thrive in an innovative environment.
This position is crucial to the corporate accounting team, focusing on enhancing the close and consolidation processes to achieve industry-leading results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee consolidation activities during the monthly close, including foreign currency remeasurement, translation, and cost allocations.
- Manage master data maintenance tasks, such as chart of accounts and departmental structures.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and expedite the close and reporting cycle, recommending process and system improvements to enhance efficiency while ensuring robust internal controls.
- Prepare journal entries and account analyses for internal restructuring and external general ledger accounting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including revenue, tax, and cost accounting, on journal entry postings and account analyses.
- Conduct general account reconciliations and analyses for assigned accounts, including internal equity.
- Assist in monthly Balance Sheet fluctuation analysis.
- Generate monthly reporting schedules for executives, providing insights and noting fluctuations from previous periods.
- Support Sarbanes-Oxley documentation for key Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts and relevant control activities.
- Contribute to the preparation of quarterly SEC financial reports, including cash flow statements, footnotes, and disclosures.
- Proactively identify issues and assist in optimizing systems, upgrades, and automation of accounting processes.
- Support quarterly reviews and annual audits conducted by external auditors.
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including expertise in general accounting, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, multi-currency consolidations, and financial reporting.
Public accounting/audit experience with an active CPA license is preferred. Familiarity with SAP and Oracle systems is advantageous. A keen attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
Possess advanced Excel skills and demonstrate self-motivation with effective communication abilities. The candidate should be capable of managing multiple priorities and fostering collaboration within and across teams, including international partners and auditors.
