Position Overview

The role of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting is vital for ensuring the precision and promptness of all external financial disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This position is responsible for managing SEC filings, earnings announcements, and investor relations presentations, providing critical insights into intricate transactions and challenges faced by the organization. Reporting to the Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting, the responsibilities include:
  • Conducting research and implementing new accounting standards, effectively communicating impacts to leadership, and driving process modifications to comply with new regulations.
  • Evaluating and applying complex accounting standards to transactions, formulating solutions, and clearly conveying results to stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and revising corporate accounting policies to ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP and to adapt to evolving business conditions.
  • Collaborating with various internal teams to effectively address accounting issues.
  • Overseeing assessments for intricate accounting areas such as impairment evaluations, equity investments, and lease accounting.
  • Preparing financial statements and coordinating audit activities with external auditors.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting and a valid CPA certification are required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in complex accounting roles involving SEC reporting and U.S. GAAP.
  • Previous experience in Public Accounting, ideally with a Big 4 firm.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage with senior management and foster innovation.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities to align with organizational priorities.
