We are in search of a skilled SEC Technical Accountant to enhance our team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in assisting our clients with adherence to SEC reporting standards while offering expert advice on intricate accounting issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of workbooks and data to support managerial tasks.
- Guarantee compliance with SEC reporting standards, including the drafting and examination of regular financial statements and accompanying notes.
- Conduct research and interpret accounting regulations, such as US GAAP and SEC guidelines, to provide informed advice on accounting and reporting challenges.
- Draft and review technical accounting memoranda to substantiate and clarify accounting positions and conclusions.
- Support clients in navigating complex accounting challenges, including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, business combinations, and debt and equity transactions.
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including external auditors, legal advisors, and financial reporting groups, to ensure precise and timely financial disclosures.
- Remain informed about new accounting and reporting developments and evaluate their implications for client financial statements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline; CPA designation is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting, particularly in SEC reporting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
- Familiarity with Workiva or similar platforms.
- Experience handling complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition and business combinations.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Compensation: $80-$90/hr DOE
