Role Overview
The SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting team is pivotal in ensuring that all external financial disclosures are precise, timely, and compliant with U.S. GAAP. This encompasses SEC periodic filings, quarterly earnings reports, 401(k) disclosures, and investor relations presentations.

The Technical Accounting Manager functions as an internal consultant, addressing intricate transactions and challenges encountered by the organization. Reporting to the Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting, this role involves:

  • Monitoring and Research: Keeping abreast of new accounting standards, summarizing their implications for executives and the Audit Committee, and spearheading necessary process modifications.
  • Transaction Analysis: Evaluating complex transactions, applying relevant accounting standards, and devising solutions while effectively communicating outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Policy Review: Overseeing corporate accounting policies and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure policies remain effective, efficient, and compliant with U.S. GAAP.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams, including General Accounting, Corporate FP&A, Manufacturing Operations, IT, Treasury, Corporate Development, Legal, Internal Audit, Real Estate Operations, and Shared Services.
  • Complex Accounting Management: Conducting periodic reviews and assessments in areas such as impairment evaluations, restructuring, equity investments, consolidation, joint ventures, and lease accounting.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements and disclosures for complex accounting matters.
  • Audit Liaison: Coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective audit execution.

Qualifications
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting and hold a CPA designation. A minimum of 2 years of experience in complex accounting, including SEC reporting and U.S. GAAP, is required. Previous experience in Public Accounting (Big 4) is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, capable of influencing senior executives and business leaders. A passion for driving innovation and change to advance the business is essential, along with strategic thinking and agile problem-solving skills.
