We are excited to announce recruitment and referral incentives at the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS). Our program offers significant recruitment bonuses for various nursing positions, including:
- $10,000.00 for Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Nurses, Nurse Consultants, Nursing Supervisors, and Compliance Nurses.
- $7,500.00 for Licensed Practical Nurses.
- $5,000.00 for Certified Nursing Assistants.
Additionally, current DHSS employees can earn $1,000 referral bonuses for recommending eligible candidates.
Position OverviewThe Clinical Nurse will be responsible for administering medications, executing treatments as prescribed, and prioritizing resident needs based on nursing assessments. This role involves addressing a majority of clinical challenges and utilizing the chain of command for assistance when necessary. The incumbent will also supervise subordinate staff, monitor their performance, and provide corrective feedback as needed.
Collaboration is key, as this position will work closely with the Medical Director, Nurse Practitioners, and various specialized teams, ensuring comprehensive care for residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and assess direct nursing care.
- Develop, implement, and review nursing care plans.
- Provide health education and guidance to individuals and community groups.
- Maintain effective communication with the treatment team.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation, including records and reports.
- Engage in quality assurance activities and provide recommendations.
Applicants must demonstrate competence in the following areas:
- Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license, temporary license, or multi-state compact license.
- For Registered Nurse II: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or at least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- For Registered Nurse III: A minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with at least one year of experience, or a Master’s degree in Nursing.
