The State of Delaware is actively seeking qualified candidates for clinical nursing roles, offering significant recruitment incentives for eligible positions.

$10,000.00 for:
- Registered Nurses

$7,500.00 for Licensed Practical Nurses

$5,000.00 for Certified Nursing Assistants

Referral bonuses of $1,000 for current employees who refer new hires.

Eligibility: Candidates must be new employees to the State of Delaware to qualify for these incentives.

Position Summary

The selected individual will deliver nursing services, including direct patient care, health assessments, and coordination of healthcare services for residents. Regular interaction with patients, families, nursing staff, physicians, and other departments is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Administering treatments as prescribed.
  • Recording and monitoring vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration).
  • Dispensing, documenting, and administering medications.
  • Providing prescribed intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
  • Observing and reporting changes in patient behavior and condition to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records.
Qualifications

Licensed Practical Nurse I:
Applicants must possess a Delaware Practical Nurse license, a temporary license, or a multi-state compact license.

Licensed Practical Nurse II:
Applicants must have:
  1. A Delaware Practical Nursing license or multi-state compact license.
  2. A minimum of six months of experience as a Practical Nurse.

Licensed Practical Nurse III:
Applicants must have:
  1. A Delaware Practical Nursing license or multi-state compact license.
  2. A minimum of eighteen months of experience as a Practical Nurse.

Additional Information

Pre-employment drug testing and a satisfactory criminal background check are required as conditions of hire. The recruiting agency may require the applicant to cover the cost of the background check.

This position is part of a collective bargaining agreement and is organized under an exclusive bargaining representative.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The State of Delaware participates in E-Verify.
