We are currently in search of an Insurance Account Support Specialist who will collaborate with our Sales Executives and Account Managers to deliver outstanding service to our clientele. This role is ideal for those eager to embark on a career in insurance.

What does the role entail?

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting team members with various service tasks, such as processing coverage evidence, issuing auto ID cards, ordering endorsements, entering applications, compiling policy documents, and verifying policy forms for accuracy.
  • Providing administrative assistance to staff and clients, which includes answering phone calls, welcoming visitors, managing mail, scheduling appointments, overseeing office supplies, and preparing documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Maintaining electronic account files and effectively utilizing the agency management system in daily operations.
  • Adhering to agency and departmental protocols as directed by management.
  • Ensuring confidentiality in handling sensitive information, including Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Continuously enhancing technical knowledge through educational resources such as newsletters, seminars, and trade publications.
  • Maintaining consistent attendance.
  • Completing additional projects and tasks as assigned.

What qualifications are required?

Applicants should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • The ability to obtain necessary formal insurance education (e.g., INS, AAI, and/or Resident Property and Casualty Agent's license).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other agency automation software.
  • Proficiency in standard office equipment such as computers, calculators, copiers, phones, and fax machines.
  • Strong word processing skills.
  • A commitment to confidentiality.
  • Consistent attendance.
  • The ability to follow safety and security protocols and use equipment properly.
  • The capacity to comply with workplace policies and procedures.
  • The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
