Position Overview: This position is essential in providing administrative assistance to the Human Resources management team, facilitating the daily functions of the HR Department. This is an in-person role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees utilizing the ADP Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Manage job advertisements on the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Ensure the maintenance and accuracy of employee records, I-9 documentation, and compliance files in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Conduct thorough background investigations for all incoming personnel.
- Keep employee records updated within the HRIS and Payroll Systems.
- Support the recruitment process by screening resumes, conducting initial phone interviews, and coordinating interview schedules.
- Prepare and send necessary correspondence.
- Assist with various projects as needed.
- Engage in departmental meetings, both in-person and virtually.
- Stay informed about Federal and State employment laws and regulations affecting employers and employees.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience:
- Associate's degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Complete The Salvation Army Safe From Harm training and maintain current certification as required.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
- Familiarity with HRIS, Payroll, and ATS systems; experience with ADP Vantage is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint.
- Eagerness to learn new software as necessary.
- Certificates and Licenses:
- Must possess a valid driver's license and successfully pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR).
