Job Responsibilities

  • Execute projects aimed at streamlining work processes, enhancing tooling, increasing throughput, minimizing waste, and ensuring equipment reliability.
  • Collaborate with various departments to investigate and resolve quality-related challenges using methodologies such as 8D, Kaizen, DMAIC, and root cause analysis.
  • Create and maintain production-related documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Work closely with production supervisors, operators, toolmakers, and maintenance personnel to identify and address production requirements.
  • Provide expertise in designing and troubleshooting automation systems.
  • Resolve technical challenges in production, identify root causes, implement solutions, and monitor their effectiveness using empirical data.
  • Collaborate with cost accountants to identify opportunities for process improvements that will enhance financial performance.
  • Design and implement essential tools, fixtures, or equipment to enhance production efficiency, reduce errors, improve inspections, and enhance ergonomics.
  • Develop lean cell layouts and workflows to minimize waste and improve productivity and ergonomics.
  • Maintain professional and technical expertise by attending industry events and continuing education workshops.
  • Participate in the PPAP process, including drawing feasibility reviews, manufacturing reviews, and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEAs) reviews.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a mechanical aptitude.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a medium to high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Comfortable with hands-on interaction with mechanical and electrical components.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is highly preferred.
