Richmond, Virginia, United States Skillforce Full time
Job Overview

At Skillforce, we recognize the unique challenges faced by the construction sector, particularly in aligning workforce capabilities with project demands. Our innovative approach focuses on empowering outside sales representatives to educate clients on the advantages of optimizing their workforce by utilizing skilled labor only when necessary. This strategy has proven beneficial for numerous contractors, enhancing their profitability by minimizing unnecessary labor costs during non-productive phases of construction projects.

About Our Team:

With over ten years of industry experience, our Richmond office is experiencing significant growth. Our comprehensive sales and training program is designed to equip you for success, while our competitive compensation structure and incentives provide substantial financial rewards. We are committed to fostering a supportive culture that prioritizes achievement both in the workplace and beyond.

Position Summary:

Are you prepared to elevate your career in outside sales with a company that genuinely values your contributions and success?

We currently have an urgent requirement for an experienced Outside Sales / Territory Manager who can excel in a results-oriented sales environment.

In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison for clients within a designated territory. Your responsibilities will include expanding our customer base through scheduled meetings and proactive outreach to potential clients. You will visit job sites to identify contractors and assess their needs for temporary skilled labor. If this opportunity resonates with you, we encourage you to explore further.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth within a designated territory to help the company meet its sales objectives.
  • Develop and implement daily and weekly strategies in the field to effectively capture business opportunities.
  • Conduct sales calls to both existing and prospective clients to secure orders for skilled labor and establish new accounts.
  • Identify potential sales leads and diligently follow up on leads provided by management.
  • Collaborate with current and prospective contractors to understand their requirements for ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
  • Oversee a field-based workforce by providing project details, reviewing work scopes, and coordinating with them at the start of each new project.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to navigate construction sites safely to engage with clients.
  • Experience interfacing with customers and construction personnel.
  • Resilience in the face of rejection.
  • Proficient in computer and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.

Education and Experience:

A college degree is preferred but not mandatory. Previous experience in B2B sales is essential for success in this role, with a preference for candidates who have utilized a consultative sales approach. Familiarity with the Richmond market is advantageous but not required.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary with uncapped commission potential.
  • Incentive bonuses, vehicle allowance, and recognition across the company.
  • Comprehensive management support and personalized training.
  • Opportunities for career advancement (we prioritize internal promotions).
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance packages.
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching.
  • Paid vacation and holidays.
  • Paid sick leave.
  • Company-provided laptop and mobile phone.

We maintain a drug and alcohol-free workplace and are an equal opportunity employer.

Job Type: Full-time
