Position Overview:

The Financial Operations Director at goTRG will be instrumental in guiding our financial functions through expert oversight of our accounting and financial reporting processes. This role demands a strategic thinker with extensive experience in high-volume transaction environments, including mergers and acquisitions, refinancing, and initial public offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Expertise:

  • Manage transactional services such as Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (OTC), and Procure to Pay (P2P).
  • Possess expertise in critical functions such as taxation, treasury, and auditing.
  • Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting during the monthly closing process.
  • Lead a financial team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to CPA standards while maintaining an active CPA certification.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and the board of directors, providing reliable reports and addressing inquiries.
  • Implement and manage financial systems and controls that uphold the integrity of company-wide finances.
  • Drive strategic financial planning and analysis in partnership with senior leadership.

Complex Data Management:

  • Manage large volumes of intricate financial data, ensuring accuracy and generating actionable insights.
  • Support the financial integration of new business onboarding from both strategic and operational perspectives.

Executive Collaboration:

  • Engage closely with C-Suite executives, offering strategic financial counsel and regular updates on financial performance and forecasts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA certification is essential.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity overseeing financial departments.
  • Significant experience in high-transaction environments, including mergers and acquisitions, refinancing, and IPOs.
  • Preferred industry experience includes Logistics, E-commerce, and Manufacturing.
  • A strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and a thorough understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Extensive experience managing financial operations within a startup context, particularly during transitions to public company status.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a financial team, with a strong emphasis on staff development and mentorship.
  • Expertise in delivering compelling management presentations and collaborating effectively with auditors.
  • Proficient in large-scale data management and financial modeling.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic insights.
