Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative Associate to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth registration process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients in person, providing a positive and respectful experience.
  • Collect demographic and insurance information, accurately entering data into our electronic medical record system.
  • Check in and interview patients to complete necessary paperwork, ensuring all required information is collected.
  • Direct patients to their appointments or procedures, providing clear instructions and support.
  • Assist with scheduling add-on appointments and resolving claim issues or registration errors on patient accounts.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits information, interpreting results to ensure accurate billing.
  • Collect co-pays or deductibles, explaining financial assistance programs available to patients.
  • Screen and approve patients for financial assistance programs, assisting with application processes as needed.
  • Provide technical or functional direction to employees, ensuring seamless workflow and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • 6+ months of customer service experience in an office or hospital setting.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work 4 weekdays per week and every other Saturday and Sunday, in 8-hour shifts starting between 5:00am – 8:00am.
  • Ability to work standard daytime hours, Mon-Fri for the first 3 weeks after hire in alignment with the training schedule.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Revenue Cycle experience.
  • General office experience.
  • Epic experience.
Physical Demands

Consistent walking, standing, bending, turning, etc. Lifting weight up to 10 lbs. occasionally, up to 2-5 lbs. frequently.
