About the Role and Our Client:

Key Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant:

  • Establish and maintain overhead cost allocations and cost standards for manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate previous standard costing to ensure precision and relevance.
  • Revise and enhance the internal cost documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on project planning, cost estimation, and identifying cost drivers related to processes and products.
  • Ensure that accounting software reflects the actual Bill of Materials (BOM) utilized in manufacturing, and that costs are aligned with current standards.
  • Support the accounting team with account reconciliations as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications for the Cost Accountant:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting or cost analysis is preferred.
