Variety Care is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Patient Service Representative Float to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support across various clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities- Backfill for Patient Service Representative office positions, including Receptionist, Medical Records Specialists, and Operator/Scheduler roles.
- Perform patient registration, scheduling, and check-in/check-out processes.
- Collect and secure payments, scan medical records, and answer call center telephone calls.
- Record patient information and transactions in the electronic medical record system.
- Verify patient balances and remind patients of outstanding accounts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and vendors.
- Operate phone calls and patient scheduling, verifying insurance coverage and collecting patient satisfaction surveys.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and adhere to Variety Care's privacy policies and procedures.
- Operate office equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
- Support Variety Care's accreditation as a Patient Centered Medical Home and our commitment to providing high-quality care.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Intermediate keyboarding skills to accurately enter patient data in the electronic medical record system.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public, including difficult patients.
- Maintain confidential patient information.
- Flexibility to work in various clinical settings and travel to other satellite clinics within the Oklahoma City and Norman metro areas.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience in medical front office.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
