About the Role

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position that prepares an employee to perform a higher-level supervisory role, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. This role is designed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in a leadership position within CVS Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work effectively with store management and store crews to ensure seamless store operations.
  • Supervise the store's crew through assigning, directing, and following up on all activities to achieve business objectives.
  • Effectively communicate information both to and from store management and crews to ensure alignment and success.

Customer Service

  • Assist customers with their questions, problems, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Promote CVS customer service culture by greeting, offering help, and thanking customers.
  • Handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy and promote a positive shopping experience for all CVS customers.

Requirements

  • Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer skills to effectively manage store operations.
  • Advanced communication skills to effectively communicate with store management and crews.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts, to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retail or a related field.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
