Position Overview:

The Podiatrist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. This position involves performing a range of podiatric services across various settings, including outpatient, urgent care, inpatient, and telehealth environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and manage podiatric medical and surgical conditions.
  • Perform surgical and non-surgical podiatric procedures in both operating room and clinical settings.
  • Engage in the clinical review and triage of podiatric consultations.
  • Participate actively in the education and training of medical trainees, including residents and students.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of medical records.
  • Contribute to committees and administrative tasks as assigned by leadership.
Clinical Duties:

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessment and management of neuropathic and vascular ulcerations.
  • Diagnosis and treatment of common foot ailments such as bunions and heel pain.
  • Development and implementation of therapeutic devices to alleviate foot pain and improve functionality.
  • Local care for corns, calluses, and other foot-related issues.
  • Management of infected or painful nails, particularly in patients with underlying health conditions.
Work Schedule:

Various work schedules are available, which may include rotating call coverage, weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays. The specific schedule will be determined by the supervisor based on organizational needs.

Requirements:

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and possess a degree in podiatric medicine from an accredited institution. A completed residency training program in podiatry is also required. Candidates must hold a valid and unrestricted license to practice podiatry in the United States.

Physical and Language Proficiency:

This role requires strong visual acuity, hearing, and manual dexterity. Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.
