Summary:
Oversees various research initiatives and clinical research programs.

Acts as a key resource for research study participants, their families, healthcare professionals, and clinical research team members regarding clinical research aspects.

Ensures management of national benchmarking databases, selected clinical research projects, and performance enhancement activities.

Responsibilities:

Evaluates, formulates, and modifies research protocols while preparing necessary materials for approval. Assists with initial contract evaluations and confidentiality agreement assessments.

Prepares and negotiates study budgets.

Monitors account activities, resolves discrepancies, collaborates with ACRI to ensure funds are collected as per contract at study conclusion, and ensures funds are allocated according to internal budget.

Facilitates inspections and audits. Develops quality assurance schedules for projects, conducts QA activities, and formulates improvement plans.

Delegates and assists in the creation of flowcharts, source documents, and other study-related materials. Manages the collection and documentation of subject data on case report forms. Develops databases and oversees data entry.

Guides others in utilizing clinical processes and educational principles to provide subject and family education, as well as develop educational tools and materials.

Coordinates and collects requested data for sponsor evaluations during site visits. Aids study monitors in reviewing charts and case report forms. Maintains files and study documentation in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.

Provides oversight for the orientation and precepting program; leads training and monitors the preceptor process. Fosters mentoring relationships and leads community education efforts. Conducts educational sessions for subjects and families.

Drives performance improvement and research initiatives.

Performs additional duties as assigned.
