Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Project Coordinator oversees, directs, and manages the establishment of a new production facility. This encompasses, but is not limited to, facility management, maintenance services, and engineering operations.

The Coordinator provides technical direction and collaborative leadership, ensuring adherence to sound engineering practices and the effective utilization of our facilities, processes, and maintenance operations.


Key Duties:


Plans and coordinates the efforts of a highly skilled workforce, with a focus on operational uptime and project management methodologies.

Leads a proactive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiative while steering the maintenance team towards achieving 100% equipment uptime.


Manages project responsibilities for both minor and major initiatives, including setting timelines, allocating resources, tracking performance, and ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.


Supports and offers expertise in safety programs across the organization, including compliance with OSHA, DEP, and NFPA standards, along with the design and implementation of all safety initiatives and their monitoring.

In a collaborative environment, guides and directs team members to efficiently meet objectives.

Responsible for the recruitment, assessment, and development of personnel within designated departments.


Oversees project progress, consults with project engineers, and ensures that reporting systems are established to monitor development in accordance with timelines and budgetary constraints.

Works in partnership with the CEO and all management levels to set and achieve both short-term and long-term operational goals.

Collaborates with external vendors and contractors regarding equipment.

Monitors and ensures that performance metrics are met for assigned areas, guaranteeing that all departments achieve their objectives.

Supervises work area processes to ensure all operators are trained and adhere to procedures and work instructions.


Leads the planning and design of the New Manufacturing Facility while collaborating with the IT Director and the new warehouse operations, fostering a cross-functional environment.

Willingness to travel up to three weeks per month.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering; a master's degree in a related field is advantageous.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in progressively complex technical supervisory roles.

Proficient in Structured Problem Analysis.

Knowledgeable about OSHA, DEP, and NFPA regulations, as well as plant safety standards.

Demonstrated leadership experience in capital project management.

Experience with automation and innovative methods in the Talalay process for implementation in a new manufacturing facility.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, Project, as well as GANTT, PERT, and CPM charts. Familiarity with CAD, CAE, CAM engineering tools, and Great Plains is essential.

Knowledgeable in Lean manufacturing principles.
