Position:
We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to enhance our dedicated team.

The primary role of the Field Service Engineer involves delivering outstanding technical support and service to our clients throughout the Southern California region and the West Coast.

Exceptional customer interactions, characterized by professionalism and technical proficiency, are essential.

The Field Service Engineer will be tasked with executing and documenting laser system installations, conducting preventive maintenance, and performing repairs on Fotona's medical and dental laser systems. This role also includes addressing customer inquiries regarding error codes and service orders, while providing management with daily updates on service activities.

Candidates should be prepared for travel requirements of up to 75%. Comprehensive training on our laser systems will be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Execute complex troubleshooting and repairs independently while adhering to established protocols (training will be provided).
- Educate customers and staff on the operation and applications of the equipment (training will be provided).
- Timely submission of service reports, timesheets, expense reports, and other required documentation.
- Self-manage workload to ensure customer needs are met promptly.
- Ensure compliance with relevant FDA regulations as outlined by the company.
- Professionally and systematically address all customer inquiries and needs.
- Collaborate effectively with Fotona team members across various departments to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times when interacting with customers and vendors, representing Fotona with integrity.

Education & Experience:
- Minimum requirement of an Associate's or Technical Degree; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Background in photonics, electronics, biomedical engineering, or related fields is advantageous.
- Experience in customer service and/or field service is highly valued.

Skills and Abilities:
- Clear and friendly communication style with a strong command of English.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficient in writing correspondence and emails to customers.
- Natural technical aptitude with the ability to read, interpret, and follow technical documents (instructions, manuals, etc.).
- Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 75%.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly; occasionally lifting over 50 lbs; and pushing/pulling heavy equipment on wheels/casters.
Candidates should be able to stand, lift, push/pull, bend, squat, stretch, reach, twist/turn, walk, and drive for extended periods.

Ability to analyze, test, and repair electronic equipment is essential.
