Surety Account Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Surety Account Executive to join our team at USI Holdings Corporation. As a key member of our commercial lines team, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, providing technical expertise, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure retention and growth of our book of business.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical support to sales executives, analyzing client needs, coverage forms, and capacity.
- Business Development: Identify market trends, develop strategies, and negotiate favorable arrangements and relationships.
- Submission Development: Manage or direct the development of submissions, including market research, proposal preparation, and presentation.
- Client Service: Respond to client requests for information, documents, and general surety inquiries, handle all aspects of commercial lines property and casualty insurance, and conduct frequent outside service visits.
- Underwriting Support: Respond to underwriters' questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Exposure and Deficiency Analysis: Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages in coordination with sales executives.
- Client Service Planning: Generate client service plans that reflect clients' business and risk management goals, including an outline of services to be provided, action plans, critical milestones, due dates, and accountabilities.
- Account Management: Manage or direct client accounts/relationships to ensure retention and growth of book of business.
- Education: College degree preferred, but not required.
- Licenses and Certifications: Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Skills and Abilities: Basic understanding of balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, ability to identify and understand key financial ratios, knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy, sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities, ability to work in a team environment, keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance, interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance as needed to achieve business goals.
