- Technical Support: Provide technical expertise to Sales Executives, analyzing client needs, coverage forms, and capacity.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends, develop strategies, and negotiate favorable arrangements and relationships.
- Submission Development: Manage or direct the development of submissions, including market, placement, and review of new and renewal Surety programs.
- Client Communication: Respond to client requests for information, documents, and general Surety inquiries, handling all aspects of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance.
- Underwriter Support: Respond to Underwriter questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Exposure Analysis: Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages in coordination with Sales Executives.
- Client Service Plan: Generate Client Service Plans that reflect client business and risk management goals, including an outline of services to be provided, action plans, and accountabilities.
- Internal Reporting: Monitor accounts receivables, renewals, and expirations, ensuring quality control, workflows, timeliness of invoices, and timeliness of bond issuance.
- Profitability Management: Ensure profitability of accounts by managing time and resources required to provide clients with high-quality services adhering to the client service plan.
- Carrier Agreements: Assist in Carrier Agreements, Licensing, Appointments, Powers of Attorney management.
- Client File Management: Maintain client files accurately and consistently, responsible for proper documentation of files and proper communication to all in accordance with company workflows, procedures, and best practices.
- Education: College degree preferred, but not required.
- License: Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Financial Knowledge: Must have a basic understanding of balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement and how they flow together.
- Financial Analysis: Ability to identify and understand key financial ratios (liquidity, working capital, capital structure, gross profit, net profit, leverage, margins, interest coverage, etc.).
- Software Knowledge: Knowledge of Sagitta/ImageRight preferred, but not required.
- Communication Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.
- Teamwork: Ability to work in a team environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
- Interpersonal Skills: Interact with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.
