REPORTS TO: Board of Directors. Collaborates with the Supervisory Committee, Investment Committee, and Credit Committee.

I. OBJECTIVE

Oversee, guide, and manage all operations of the credit union in alignment with established plans, policies, governance standards, directives, and activities set forth by the board of directors. Ensure financial soundness and member satisfaction that reflect the best interests of members, staff, and the credit union. Provide strategic vision, leadership, and management across all operational areas.

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead all credit union functions, which encompass the planning and execution of programs, policies, and procedures.

Through direct involvement or delegation, offer strategic and administrative guidance in all credit union operations, including:

  • Accounting
  • Asset Liability Management (ALM)
  • Business Development
  • Compliance
  • Facilities Management
  • Finance
  • Human Resources
  • Investments
  • Lending
  • Marketing
  • Operations
  • Retail Services
  • Risk Management
  • Security

Ensure timely submission of all necessary reports and actions to regulatory bodies.

Maintain a professional demeanor that aligns with the credit union's mission and values, treating members, colleagues, and subordinates with respect, courtesy, and sensitivity to privacy.

Promote products and services, deliver exceptional member service, and achieve the credit union's objectives.

Formulate, propose, and implement financial policies and procedures. Recommend new product offerings to remain competitive within the industry.

Ensure the credit union utilizes the most effective software solutions available.

Guarantee compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to address and resolve any identified issues to enhance the credit union's operations.

Recruit and select qualified candidates for management positions, ensuring the credit union is staffed with capable personnel. Provide training to enable employees to excel in their roles and ensure cross-training among staff.

Develop and oversee a budget that aligns with the overall strategic plan of the credit union.

Assess the performance of credit union management to ensure high-quality service delivery to members.

Conduct regular management meetings to facilitate information sharing, idea exchange, problem resolution, and trend discussions. Ensure effective communication of information throughout the credit union.

Ensure the availability of adequate equipment, supplies, and workspace.

Engage in business development initiatives to foster membership growth and asset development, while building positive relationships with the membership base and relevant trade associations.

Present compensation strategies to the Board. Establish a fair and competitive wage and salary structure in line with these strategies.

Plan and manage the employee benefits program, balancing internal needs with market equity and cost considerations.

Oversee security and safety measures for the credit union, analyzing policies and procedures, and promptly informing staff of any changes.

Provide monthly reports to the Board regarding the credit union's status and any matters requiring their attention.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • A minimum of 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience in financial management, either public or private.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, with a focus on Finance or Accounting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial administration principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of effective financial management techniques.
  • Ability to formulate long-term plans and assess work outcomes.
  • Proficient in presenting facts and recommendations clearly in both oral and written formats.
  • Strong attention to detail.

IV. COMMUNICATION AND RELATIONSHIPS

Demonstrate leadership by fostering a positive environment and culture at Dale Community Federal Credit Union through effective communication and relationship-building with staff, members, and the community. This is achieved through visibility in all branch locations, engagement with credit union and community members, and active participation in community organizations and events.

V. COMPENSATION

Salary to be determined based on experience.
