Job Summary: Vishay Intertechnology Inc. is seeking a skilled Assembly Operator 2 to join our team in Columbus, NE. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality electronic components that meet and exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and execute the correct assembly procedure by analyzing production tickets and travelers.
- Operate assembly machines according to established procedures and guidelines.
- Record information as required on production travelers and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles and lean manufacturing practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Select production orders and associated components to be assembled, ensuring accurate processing and meeting customer specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations.
- Prior production experience is desirable.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds regularly and 30 pounds occasionally.
- Good working conditions and occasional exposure to disagreeable elements such as dust, dirt, fumes, heat, cold, noise, moisture, or oil.
