Key Responsibilities:


The Systems Engineer and Vehicle Testing Specialist will be tasked with the setup, support, and maintenance of sensor and actuator systems within our vehicles.

Working closely with the workshop team, you will devise new concepts for vehicle configurations, including the integration of advanced components into production models.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for driving and evaluating the systems in our vehicles, with travel expectations of approximately 25%, which may include local, regional, or international assignments. You will engage in predictive functions and data analysis, as well as automation processes.


Specific Duties Include:
  • Gathering and analyzing requirements for vehicle configurations
  • Executing commissioning and calibration tasks within the vehicle
  • Programming specialized measurement technologies for data processing
  • Integrating and commissioning new sensors and control units in test vehicles
  • Maintaining all computer systems utilized in the test vehicles
  • Overseeing measurement configurations for data acquisition
  • Acquiring necessary components for measurement devices in the test vehicles
  • Creating vehicle-specific guidelines and conducting training sessions
  • Acting as a liaison for vehicle integration within the workshop

Required Tools and Technologies:
Familiarity with Visual Studio, ADS2, Conan, AOS/Motionwise, GIT, IDEX, CPTool, and various GIT GUI tools such as GIT Extensions or Tortoise SVN is essential.

Essential Knowledge:
  • Understanding of IT network hardware and software (server-client architecture, protocols, devices such as switches)
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux) and virtual machines
  • Knowledge of vehicle ECU architecture and bus systems including CAN, FlexRay, and Ethernet
  • Experience with automotive measurement software (e.g., Vector products like Canalyzer/Canoe, Flex devices, Autobox)
This is a HYBRID CONTRACT POSITION with potential travel requirements (domestic and/or international).

The compensation range for this role in California is between $130,000 and $155,000, based on qualifications and experience.
