Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Autonomous Vehicle Technician to join our team at Royalty Hospitality Staffing. As a key member of our engineering-focused team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the readiness of our fleet vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Configure, set up, maintain, diagnose, and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road usage.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Sync with the shop foreman to ensure all vehicles are in a "ready" state for demonstration and testing requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Escalation: Perform diagnostics and escalate to the appropriate engineering team if required.
  • Repair Coordination: Coordinate and drive the repair process.
  • Diagnostic Planning: Create diagnostic test plans as needed.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain service records and document quality field reports.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Maintain shop facilities, ensure tools are in order, and workspace is in excellent working condition.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with parts inventory, location, and organization.
  • Customer Service: Build an excellent service experience for internal teams and business partners.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 2+ years of technician experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles.
  • Driving Record: Clean and excellent driving record.
  • Work Ethic: Reliable, self-starter, roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deliverables.
  • Teamwork: Team player spirit.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Integrity: Must be honest, responsible, and an outstanding communicator.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Automotive Engineering: Experience in an automotive-focused engineering or research lab.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of CAN, wiring diagrams, and soldering.
  • Transportation Experience: Experience and ability to tow a car hauler and other large trailers to transport fleet vehicles.
  • Education: Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in Automotive Repair.
  • Travel: Ability to travel locally and nationally (on occasion).
