Senior Staff System Safety/Functional Safety Engineer

**About the Role**
PER International is seeking a highly experienced Senior Staff System Safety/Functional Safety Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the development of safe and reliable products that meet the highest industry standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement structured product development methodologies, including the V-model, DOD-STD-2167A, ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO PAS 21448 SOTIF, UL 4600, IEC 61511, EN 5012x, ISO 10218, IEC 62061, and IEC 60601.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop safe and reliable hardware and software/firmware systems.
- Apply system engineering methodologies, including requirements management and system-level architecture.
- Lead technical project management efforts, including functional safety management (FSM).
- Conduct functional safety analysis, ASIL decomposition, and ASIL allocation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including product certification, assessments, and audits.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, including electric vehicles, ADAS, hybrid vehicles, autonomous vehicles, autonomous mobile robots, automated guided vehicles, and highly automated vehicles.
- Develop and communicate innovative functional safety concepts and architectures.
- Collaborate with IP teams to design and develop safe and reliable systems.
**Requirements**
- Significant experience in functional safety engineering, system safety, and product development.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations, including ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and UL 4600.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
