We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Senior Pricing Analyst to enhance our finance division. The Senior Pricing Analyst will take charge of formulating and executing pricing methodologies aimed at optimizing profitability and maintaining a competitive edge. This position necessitates a comprehensive grasp of market trends, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the aptitude to collaborate effectively with various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing & Profitability Strategy Development:
  • Formulate and execute pricing methodologies that resonate with organizational objectives and market realities.
  • Enhance the efficiency, uptake, and profitability of the company's pricing strategies across both new and existing ventures.
  • Regularly assess the prevailing pricing landscape, including contractual obligations, to identify margin risks and opportunities.
  • Create, sustain, and refine pricing models and tools to bolster pricing decisions and ensure precision.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to streamline pricing processes and improve effectiveness.
Market & Data Analysis:
  • Deliver actionable data insights and recommendations that facilitate profitable decision-making.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive assessments to guide pricing decisions and uncover revenue growth opportunities.
  • Examine pricing data, sales patterns, and profitability indicators to provide data-driven recommendations and adjustments.
  • Compile and present pricing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of pricing strategies with business goals.
  • Identify and offer training opportunities regarding processes and pricing strategies.
  • Foster stakeholder engagement and promote the adoption of pricing strategies and tools.
*This position is remote-friendly, with a preference for candidates located in the Midwest region.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role, ideally in a senior or leadership capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated success in spearheading significant change management initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen and profitability insight within a distribution context.
  • Results-driven with the capability to propel projects forward.
  • Proven ability to think critically and resolve complex pricing issues.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in cross-functional team environments and managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in data analysis and financial modeling.
