Core Responsibilities:

Development of Pricing & Profitability Strategies:
  • Formulate and execute pricing strategies that are in harmony with organizational objectives and market dynamics.
  • Enhance the efficiency, acceptance, and profitability of the company's pricing strategies across both new and existing ventures.
  • Regularly assess the prevailing pricing landscape, including contractual obligations, to identify margin risks and opportunities.
  • Create, sustain, and refine pricing models and tools to support pricing decisions and ensure precision.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to boost pricing efficiency and effectiveness.
Market Insights & Data Analysis:
  • Deliver actionable data insights and recommendations that inform profitable decision-making.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive assessments to guide pricing strategies and uncover revenue growth opportunities.
  • Examine pricing data, sales patterns, and profitability metrics to provide data-driven recommendations and adjustments.
  • Prepare and present pricing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Collaborative Engagement:
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of pricing strategies with business goals.
  • Identify and facilitate training opportunities regarding processes and pricing strategies.
  • Foster stakeholder buy-in and promote the adoption of pricing strategies and tools.
*This position is remote, with a preference for candidates located in the Midwest region.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role, ideally in a senior or leadership capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated success in leading significant change management initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen and profitability insight within a distribution context.
  • Results-driven with the capability to advance projects effectively.
  • Proven ability to think critically and resolve complex pricing issues.
  • Experience working efficiently in cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in data analysis and financial modeling.
