Position Summary:

The Project Engineer role is integral to the Technology Projects Program Management Team, overseeing initiatives of significant complexity and visibility that are essential to the core operations of the organization. This position will involve substantial civil or geotechnical elements, including the procurement and installation of systems that support water treatment and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering projects, ensuring alignment with organizational standards for quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project execution.
  • Conduct environmental assessments and prepare necessary documentation and reports.
  • Provide ongoing updates and insights related to the capital improvement program.
  • Assist in the development of project proposals and manage the funding and authorization processes.
  • Monitor project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables, providing regular updates to senior management.

Work Schedule:
Standard work hours include a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Hybrid Work Model:
The current practice for this position includes a hybrid work schedule, typically requiring two days in the office and the remainder remote, subject to organizational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with six years of pertinent experience, including two years at the Associate Engineer level; or a Master’s degree with four years of relevant experience, including two years at the Associate Engineer level.

Relevant Experience:
Experience should encompass project management, design, or construction of multi-disciplinary projects related to reservoirs, slope erosion, dam rehabilitation, and the management of equipment procurement and installation in the water, wastewater, power, or oil/gas sectors.

Licensing Requirements:
Applicants must hold a valid California Class C Driver's License and be a licensed California Professional Engineer.
