  • Verify coverage and eligibility for new patients
  • Communicate with patients about co-pays and deductibles
  • Process cancellations and no-shows according to protocols
  • Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments
  • Verify and review provider schedules for errors
  • Responsible for scheduling follow-up appointments and generating return to work/school forms
  • Follow walk-in policy and procedure
  • Prepare provider monthly productivity reports
  • Assist patients with medical record requests
Lead Responsibilities
  • Act as point of contact for front office staff
  • Coordinate daily call schedules and schedule adjustments
  • Assign staff to work provider reschedules and delegate duties
  • Maintain a schedule of duties for front office staff
  • Complete monthly productivity reports
  • Address patient opportunities and discuss negative patient encounters with manager
  • Assist with new staff training and continuing education
  • Schedule and plan front office meetings
  • Coordinate copier maintenance and service
  • Manage postage and submit expense reports
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year work experience in a medical office setting
  • Training in medical terminology, insurance requirements, and customer service
