The Substitute Teacher Aide is a vital member of our team at the Community Action Planning Council of Jefferson County, Inc. The successful candidate will assist with mealtimes, participate in classroom preparation and cleanup, and help ensure the safety and well-being of our young students.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning and implementing educational activities for preschool children
- Support the day-to-day operations of the classroom, including mealtimes and cleanup
- Help maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
- Collaborate with teaching staff to provide high-quality programming for children and families
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff
- Record and maintain accurate records of children's behaviors and progress
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with preschool children preferred
- Basic knowledge of child development and ability to work with young children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Physical ability to sit, walk, run, climb stairs, and lift up to 40 pounds
