**Job Summary**

As a Child Care Quality Specialist, you will play a vital role in developing, implementing, and evaluating programming to increase the quality of child care in Jefferson and Lewis Counties. You will be responsible for coordinating professional development for child care professionals, conducting workshops and presentations, providing technical assistance and referrals, and contributing to the content and publishing of department newsletters.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Develop and implement programming to improve the quality of child care in the service area
* Coordinate professional development for child care professionals, including workshops and presentations
* Provide technical assistance and referrals to child care providers
* Contribute to the content and publishing of department newsletters
* Review grant applications and conduct follow-up with providers
* Maintain accurate records and monitor and track program activities

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood, Child & Family Studies, or closely related field with Infant/Toddler course work
* 3 years of experience working directly with young children and families in a child care or early education program
* Adult education experience training and/or providing coaching and technical assistance to child care staff and providers
* Must possess or be willing to achieve NYS Training Credential within one year of initial employment

**Working Conditions**

* Work is performed in the office environment and in child care programs
* Occasional evening and weekend work

**Salary and Benefits**

We offer a competitive salary of $18.50 per hour, commensurate with experience. Additionally, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
