Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Senior Conference Services Attendant to ensure that all meeting spaces and communal areas are maintained to the highest standards of professionalism and that all meeting requirements are fulfilled prior to the commencement of events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and position tables, chairs, and linens for each event in the conference center.
  • Provide and set up additional items not included in the room, such as flipcharts, whiteboards, and screens.
  • Assist in preparing conference rooms to ensure they are equipped with necessary materials (pens, pads, handouts, event packages, etc.).
  • Refresh rooms between meetings to maintain a professional environment.
  • Deliver prompt and detailed service as scheduled by management or upon request.
  • Maintain consistent communication via phone and email with clients, guests, team members, and support departments.
  • Assist clients and visitors throughout the facility, including providing directions and escorting them to conference rooms.
  • Collaborate with co-workers and service partners to ensure information is current and shared effectively.
  • Provide recommendations to planning managers regarding optimal room setups and collaborate to resolve unique setup challenges.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of meeting rooms and coordinate with the necessary departments for any required services.
  • Assist with basic audio-visual equipment as needed.
  • Maintain an inventory of all supplies and notify supervisors when additional supplies are required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service or as a houseman/porter is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
