Senior Site Reliability Engineering Manager

Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of critical cloud services in our Office 365 government cloud offerings. As a key member of our Site Reliability Engineering team, you will be responsible for building and developing a team of software engineers focused on site reliability, building and running critical public-sector service environments, and coordinating planning and execution with internal engineering teams and business partners.
Key Responsibilities- Provide deep technical leadership to a team of highly passionate and skilled engineers.
- Recruit, onboard, and grow a team of software engineers focused on site reliability.
- Build, run, and improve critical public-sector service environments.
- Coordinate planning and execution with internal engineering teams, business partners, and technical leaders across the division.
- Own deployment, availability, reliability, performance, and customer escalation targets for these environments across multiple services.
- Proactively identify and reduce issues through design, testing, and implementation of software-based solutions.
- Uphold high organizational standards of great employee and team satisfaction.
- Embody Microsoft's culture and values.
- 6+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
- Security clearance requirements: candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- Citizenship and citizenship verification: this position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
- 7+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
- 3+ years of people management experience.
Microsoft offers a competitive salary range of $117,200 - $229,200 per year, with a different range applicable to specific work locations. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
