Key Responsibilities:
As a Culinary Team Leader, your primary responsibility will be to guide the culinary staff in crafting exceptional meals tailored specifically for airline clientele.
You will work collaboratively with the culinary team to design a menu that features a wide array of delectable options, while meeting the unique demands of in-flight dining.
Attention to detail, a genuine passion for the culinary arts, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
Your creativity and meticulousness in meal preparation and presentation will play a vital role in delivering an extraordinary dining experience for passengers.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborating with the culinary team to create and execute a menu that aligns with the specific needs of airline customers.
- Leading a team of culinary professionals, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Preparing gourmet meals with precision, focusing on both presentation and flavor.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and taste to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitoring inventory levels and assisting in the procurement of supplies to support efficient kitchen operations.
- Training and mentoring kitchen staff, providing guidance to enhance their culinary skills.
- Ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and supplies.
- Staying informed about industry trends and innovations, integrating new techniques and ingredients into menu offerings.
- Effectively managing multiple tasks and responsibilities while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field, or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume food service environment.
- At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume culinary setting, with a focus on menu development.
- Strong culinary knowledge and familiarity with kitchen procedures and practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment:
The essential functions of this position are performed indoors, with noise levels varying from minimal to loud. The role requires standing, walking, and the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 30 pounds.
