Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of menu items, including meats, poultry, and seafood, using different cooking techniques and following standard procedures.
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes to prepare soups, salads, gravies, and casseroles.
  • Add seasonings to menu items, using your personal judgment and attention to detail.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service, including prompt, friendly, and professional interactions with guests.
  • Confer with back-of-house staff and management to plan menus and perform related activities for special events.
  • Read menus to estimate food requirements and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Investigate food quality and maintain a safe and healthy kitchen environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by culinary management.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a culinary role, such as garnish, pantry, line cook, baking, or butchering.
  • General knowledge of food preparation and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Basic English reading, writing, and conversation skills.
  • Ability to read labels, ingredients, and instructions, and write basic lists and notes.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules and hours, including nights, weekends, and special events.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
