Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities that align with our service offerings. You will be a self-starter with a hunter mentality, comfortable developing and executing sales strategies, cultivating leads, and building strong relationships with potential clients while driving customer growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, referrals, and other lead generation strategies.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to target and acquire new clients across various industries.
  • Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly strategies to exceed sales targets.
  • Conduct effective sales presentations and product/site demonstrations, showcasing the value of Team Phun's services.
  • Negotiate and close deals that meet or exceed revenue targets.
Relationship Building
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs and challenges.
  • Cultivate a network of industry contacts and referral sources.
  • Represent Team Phun at industry events and conferences in a professional manner.
  • Handle customer questions, inquiries, and complaints with business etiquette.
  • Challenge customers with unique branding solutions that support their objectives.
Lead Generation and Qualification
  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies to identify potential clients.
  • Qualify leads based on their needs, budget, and decision-making authority.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads and sales activities in CRM software.
  • Build, run, and review reports on activity, opportunities, accounts, contacts, and leads to track progress to goals.
Market Analysis
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
  • Stay informed about new products, services, and technologies in the branding and promotional products industry.
  • Adapt to market changes through the adoption of trends, new technology, and product offerings.
Collaboration
  • Collaborate with internal teams (design, digital, operations, sales) to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Work with Brand Consultants to ensure smooth client transitions after the first 3 months of contracts being signed.
  • Ensure all information is gathered upfront from clients in order for the Brand Support team to assist with pricing, estimates, and/or invoices.

Education/Experience
  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales, preferably in the branding, promotional products, or marketing industry.
  • 1-3 years in sales or business development.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Outstanding time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience and ability in managing and driving solution adoption and growth.
  • Strong team player and proven self-starter with a sense of urgency.
  • Comfort with adopting new technological tools and processes to drive greater efficiency and capacity.
  • Software includes: Google Workspace, Salesforce, QuickBooks, Seamless.

Certifications/Licenses

Valid driver's license - must meet insurance underwriting requirements.
