Position Summary:

We are in search of a skilled Associate Scientist/Scientist I to contribute to our dynamic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute protein expression and purification utilizing FPLC chromatography systems.
  • Design and establish automated workflows for high-throughput molecular cloning and variant generation.
  • Collaborate with research teams to create and implement automated protocols for protein engineering initiatives.
  • Develop and validate procedures for medium-to-high-throughput reporter assays, binding assays, and automated protein purifications.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of laboratory protocols, organize and analyze experimental data, and present findings effectively.
  • Engage cross-functionally to support research and development through to commercialization.
  • Provide ongoing support for laboratory operations to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Undertake additional tasks and projects as directed by management to align with laboratory and organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with 5-8+ years of relevant industry experience or a PhD in Biology, Chemistry, or related fields with 2 years of applicable experience.
  • Proficient wet lab skills, including cloning, protein assays, and various molecular biology techniques.
  • In-depth experience in protein purification and characterization methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, reproducible results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in high-throughput screening and assay development.
  • Knowledge of enzymology and protein engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with programming and protocol development for commonly used liquid handling systems.

Compensation:

  • Associate Scientist: $78,500 - $121,500
  • Scientist I: $94,000 - $145,500

While compensation decisions are based on individual circumstances, it is uncommon for a new hire to start at or near the top of the salary range for their position.
