Eitr Biologics, Inc. is a leading biotechnology company dedicated to the development of novel immunotherapeutics for the treatment of infectious diseases. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Scientist to join our Research and Development team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute experiments to develop and characterize novel immunotherapeutics
  • Conduct molecular cloning, DNA assembly, and site-directed mutagenesis to construct phage libraries
  • Perform phage display-based experiments, including cloning, panning, and sequencing
  • Generate and characterize stable mammalian cell lines for antibody production
  • Characterize antibodies and antibody-based therapeutics using techniques such as ELISA, BLI, and Western Blot
  • Record and analyze experimental data, and write detailed reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement research strategies
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in a biology-related discipline with 2+ years of post-graduate experience in an academic and/or industry setting
  • Demonstrated expertise in molecular biology techniques, including primer design, DNA/RNA preparations, PCR, and cloning
  • Experience with antibody phage display, including library construction, panning, and characterization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and execute experiments independently
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Biolayer Interferometry and bioinformatics software for sequence analysis
  • Knowledge of protein biochemistry and cell-based assays, including reporter assays and FACS competition
  • Experience with infectious disease immunotherapeutics and antibody formats, including scFv, IgG, and VHH
Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this position include the ability to lift and carry laboratory equipment, glassware, and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds on occasion. Employees should be able to safely use appropriate equipment and follow proper lifting techniques.

The position requires prolonged periods of standing and walking while conducting experiments, monitoring equipment, and moving between workstations. Data analysis, documentation, and report writing are also integral aspects of this role, requiring the ability to sit at a desk or workstation for extended periods.

Good vision is essential for tasks such as reading labels, observing specimens, and using microscopes. Corrected vision and color vision may be required for accurate analysis.

Adequate hearing is necessary for communication and safety awareness.
