Commercial Construction Cost Analyst

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Commercial Construction Cost Analyst to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will be tasked with developing thorough bid proposals for a variety of commercial construction endeavors, encompassing sectors such as retail, dining, office spaces, grocery, and convenience outlets. Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating data from subcontractors and industry references to deliver precise cost assessments. The ideal candidate will possess robust numerical and analytical capabilities, be adept at interpreting construction blueprints, and demonstrate exceptional communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Generate comprehensive cost assessments based on construction documents and specifications.
- Review and compile pricing from subcontractors utilizing Excel spreadsheets.
- Investigate and rectify cost inconsistencies.
- Conduct site evaluations to collect project-related information.
- Formulate competitive bids for various projects.
- Enhance project costs through risk evaluation and value engineering techniques.
- Establish and nurture relationships with essential stakeholders.
- Collaborate with procurement specialists for bids.
- Interpret relevant building codes and regulations.
- Remain informed about safety regulations and construction methodologies.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial construction cost analyst, particularly in the retail and dining sectors.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Proficient in numerical analysis and technology.
- Familiarity with software tools such as Procore, Blue Book, ISQFT, and Plan Hub.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Highly organized and dependable.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
- Certification as a Professional Estimator (CPE) is advantageous.
