Position Overview

We are in search of a candidate with substantial experience in mid to high-rise structures (10+ stories), concrete methodologies (including tunnel form and PT slabs), zero lot line developments, tower crane operations, and underground utility management.

The primary role of the Senior Construction Project Supervisor is to oversee, in partnership with the Project Manager, the effective execution of designated projects. This position is pivotal in ensuring job site safety, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage the field and project teams in a collaborative manner.
  • Establish and nurture positive relationships with clients, project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee project setup, site logistics, field coordination, and scheduling.
  • Review all project documentation for feasibility and accuracy, including shop drawings.
  • Coordinate with inspection agencies and subcontractor evaluations.
  • Ensure that subcontractors understand performance expectations and address any issues promptly.
  • Raise compliance concerns related to the project or team as necessary.
  • Deliver quality outcomes by understanding project deliverables and consistently monitoring work quality to minimize rework.
  • Develop project sequencing strategies and manage associated temporary works.
  • Adhere to project timelines and manage workflow efficiently, creating structured work plans with clear task breakdowns.
  • Leverage the skills and expertise of the broader team to maximize project success.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of safety protocols across all site activities, ensuring compliance and corrective actions as needed.
  • Seek knowledge of specific construction trades and apply this understanding to resolve issues.
  • Conduct and participate in project staff meetings.
  • Utilize project management and scheduling software proficiently.
  • Enhance professional knowledge through educational opportunities and networking.
  • Complete all required corporate training relevant to the position.
  • Contribute to team success by completing related tasks and demonstrating team-building qualities.

The above responsibilities are not exhaustive and may be adjusted as required by management.


Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of experience in a supervisory role within the commercial construction sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects of similar scale and complexity.
  • Strong knowledge of construction budgeting practices.
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, self-motivation, goal orientation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, prioritization, and multitasking.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality improvement.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and relevant construction software.
  • Proficient in Procore and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).

Education:
  • A four-year degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
  • OSHA 10 / OSHA 30 Safety Certification is required.
