Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Construction Financial Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the financial and fiscal management of construction projects.

The Senior Construction Financial Analyst will ensure that all project team members, including Project Management, Superintendents, and Engineering, adhere to company Financial Policies and Procedures. They will be responsible for communicating any potential profitability concerns or risks to management.

This position requires proficiency in GAAP accounting and project forecasting for multiple mid-sized or a singular large project. The work environment will be on-site at various construction locations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the Notice to Owner Log in the project management system.
  • Process, code, and enter invoices and subcontractor payment requests.
  • Prepare monthly client billings accurately and timely.
  • Assist in the collection of accounts receivable as needed.
  • Monitor and manage all project-related accounts.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for subcontractor payment releases.
  • Draft Releases of Lien and Releases of Claim as required.
  • Handle weekly and bi-weekly payroll time sheet entries for job-site personnel.
  • Circulate weekly project payable and insurance compliance updates to project teams.
  • Prepare and submit accurate billing reconciliations to job cost.
  • Support Project Managers with accounting reports and job cost audits.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and CCIP Coordinator to manage the CCIP program, if applicable.
  • Review insurance certificates for accuracy and compliance.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Accountant supporting project teams.
