Position Overview

We are in search of a committed and passionate Mechanical Project Engineer to enhance our expanding team. This role provides the chance to engage in a variety of innovative and challenging projects, applying your expertise in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering, AutoCAD, Revit, and more. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of building regulations and have practical experience with MEP projects. As a vital contributor to our team, you will significantly influence the design and management of diverse projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. If you are a Licensed PE with a background in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering and a commitment to sustainable initiatives, we are eager to connect with you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the design and development of mechanical systems for construction projects, leveraging your proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Ensure compliance of all designs and projects with local building regulations.
  • Oversee MEP projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated project results.
  • Utilize your HVAC Engineering expertise to design efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Contribute to the advancement of sustainable construction projects, showcasing a commitment to environmental stewardship.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Actively engage in project meetings and reviews, offering expert advice and guidance as needed.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and enhancement.
Qualifications:
  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering required
  • 2+ years of HVAC engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of IMC, IECC, and Chicago Building Codes
  • Ability to perform Energy Modeling using TRACE, eQUEST, or similar programs is a plus
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE Standards, particularly 55, 90.1 & 62.1
  • Experience with projects featuring sustainable solutions and LEED certifications is a plus
  • PE license preferred
  • Proficient in REVIT MEP; AutoCAD skills required
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse clients
