Job Summary

This position serves as the technical expert for our Electro-Mechanical Actuation product, a key component used in electrically powered aircraft. The successful candidate will collaborate directly with customers and cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver a successful project, on time, at acceptable revenues, with zero quality defects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as technical expert and lead technical discussions with customers on the application of Rexnord Aerospace products to provide/improve customer satisfaction, focusing on supporting the Electric Aircraft Market.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team, Sales, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure project success.
  • Manage projects tightly to detailed master program schedules and milestones, coordinating schedule compliance for all deliverables and managing the impact of material and delivery schedules on the operational aspects of the business.
  • Maintain ownership of numerous new product introductions, development activities, and Engineering projects across all functional lines.
  • Assist in identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities within the facilities and at supplier locations.
  • Contribute to the breakthrough product development process.
  • Maintain and improve existing products.
  • Create and maintain policies, procedures, engineering standards, programs, and work instructions.
Requirements
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of Engineering Work Experience.
  • Advanced knowledge in the application, design, and theory of operations for electro-mechanical actuators.
  • Background in metal manufacturing environments, including metal cutting and grinding.
  • Working knowledge of 3D Solid Modeling software, such as SolidWorks, Inventor, CREO, and/or CATIA.
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering part drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • General working knowledge of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools.
  • Knowledge of Stage Gate Process.
  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and formal problem-solving techniques.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
  • Strong customer service orientation and high-level interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of occasional travel to customers and plants.
