Position Overview:

We are in search of a committed and skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to enhance our expanding team. This role presents the chance to engage in a range of innovative and challenging projects, applying your expertise in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering, AutoCAD, Revit, and more. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of building regulations and have practical experience with MEP projects. As a vital member of our team, you will significantly influence the design and management of various projects, ensuring top-quality and efficient results. If you hold a PE license and have a background in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering with a focus on sustainable initiatives, we encourage you to explore this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the design and development of mechanical systems for construction projects, leveraging your proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Ensure compliance of all designs and projects with local building regulations.
  • Oversee MEP projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated project outcomes.
  • Utilize your HVAC Engineering expertise to design efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Contribute to the advancement of sustainable construction projects, demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Actively engage in project meetings and reviews, providing expert insights and guidance as needed.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and enhancement.

Qualifications:
  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering required
  • 8+ years of HVAC engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of IMC, IECC, and Chicago Building Codes
  • Proficiency in Energy Modeling using TRACE, eQUEST, or similar programs is a plus
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE Standards, particularly 55, 90.1 & 62.1
  • Experience with sustainable solutions and LEED certifications is a plus
  • PE license required
  • Strong REVIT MEP skills are a plus; AutoCAD skills are essential
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse clients
