Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our diverse range of projects. This role involves leveraging your expertise in Mechanical and HVAC Engineering, along with tools such as AutoCAD and Revit. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of building regulations and have practical experience in MEP projects. As a vital contributor, you will ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design and implementation of mechanical systems for various construction projects, utilizing AutoCAD and Revit.
- Ensure compliance with local building regulations throughout the design process.
- Manage MEP projects from concept to completion, maintaining timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve integrated project goals.
- Apply your HVAC engineering expertise to develop effective heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Engage in sustainable project development, showcasing a commitment to environmental stewardship.
- Mentor junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous professional development.
- Participate actively in project discussions and reviews, offering expert insights and recommendations.
- Stay informed about industry advancements and technologies, identifying areas for innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC engineering.
- Proficient knowledge of IMC, IECC, and Chicago Building Codes.
- Experience with Energy Modeling software such as TRACE or eQUEST is advantageous.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE Standards, particularly 55, 90.1 & 62.1.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Strong skills in REVIT MEP are preferred; proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse clients.
