Position Overview:

We are in search of a passionate and skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to enhance our dynamic team. This role provides the chance to engage in a range of innovative and challenging projects, applying your expertise in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering, AutoCAD, Revit, and more. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of building regulations and hands-on experience with MEP projects. As a vital contributor to our team, you will be instrumental in the design and oversight of various projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. If you hold a PE license and have a background in Mechanical/HVAC Engineering with a focus on sustainable initiatives, we encourage you to explore this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the design and development of mechanical systems for construction initiatives, leveraging your proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Ensure compliance of all designs and projects with local building regulations.
  • Oversee MEP projects from conception to completion, guaranteeing timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve integrated project results.
  • Utilize your HVAC Engineering expertise to design effective heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Contribute to the advancement of sustainable construction projects, showcasing a commitment to environmental stewardship.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Actively engage in project meetings and reviews, offering expert insights and recommendations as needed.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies, identifying avenues for innovation and enhancement.


Qualifications:
  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • 8+ years of experience in HVAC engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of IMC, IECC, and Chicago Building Codes.
  • Experience with Energy Modeling using TRACE, eQUEST, or similar software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE Standards, particularly 55, 90.1 & 62.1.
  • Experience with sustainable projects and LEED certifications is advantageous.
  • PE license is mandatory.
  • Proficient in REVIT MEP; AutoCAD skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse clients.
