Responsibilities of a Support Technician

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for critical issues impacting our customers' services, playing a vital role in the success of our organization. You will provide technical assistance to end-users via phone and email, investigating and troubleshooting various connectivity and voice service challenges. Additionally, you will monitor the uptime of essential infrastructure and customer networks.

Your strong organizational skills will enable you to manage a steady influx of tech support tickets efficiently. With keen attention to detail, you will ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures, finding satisfaction in delivering quality service while assisting others.


Qualifications for a Support Technician
  • Minimum of 2 years of networking experience
  • Proficient in troubleshooting wide area and local area network connectivity and administering VLANs
  • Familiarity with Juniper and Cisco routing and switching equipment
  • Adept at identifying patterns in support issues during outage investigations
  • Ability to manage a consistent volume of tech support tickets
  • Understanding of the open systems interconnection (OSI) and DoD reference models
  • Knowledge of voice protocols, particularly session initiation protocol (SIP) and voice over internet protocol (VoIP) systems

Work Schedule

This technical support position typically involves rotating 8-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
