Sales Development Manager

We're seeking a skilled Account Manager to join our team, responsible for developing new sales opportunities throughout the Permian Basin or US Lower 48. This role will play a critical part in building on our reputation as an industry leader in the Coiled Tubing and Hydraulic Fracturing market segment.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of current oil and gas market conditions, as well as a demonstrated network of contacts within our target client list. They will be responsible for analyzing client needs and interests, determining how our products and services can best meet their needs, and selling our products and services while negotiating pricing and contract terms.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the execution of sales strategy for our Coiled Tubing and Hydraulic Fracturing and Nitrogen business lines.
- Actively calling on and establishing, maintaining, and developing business, social, and networking relations with Upstream Oil and Gas Operators.
- Analyzing client needs and interests and determining how our products and services can best meet their needs.
- Selling our products and services and negotiating pricing and contract terms.
- Gathering intelligence on competitor activities and opportunities and following up with contacts for future work.
- Recommending solutions to product-related problems and supporting the marketing of new technologies and applications.
- Facilitating the resolution of client issues, problems, or complaints.
- Developing the reputation of STEP as the most reliable, innovative, and cost-effective provider in the market segment.
- Participating in relevant trade shows, industry associations, and client events.
- Providing and following up on qualified leads to the Sales team to consistently improve their ability to break down barriers with prospective clients.
- Assisting in the preparation of annual sales forecasts, as required.
- Building and maintaining collaborative partnerships with various project teams and departments internally.
- Remaining current with new technology and completion techniques in the energy industry.
- Providing input into strategic recommendations for STEP's overall sales activities.
- Demonstrating a high level of leadership by utilizing the Company's cultural values in every facet of work, both internally and externally.
- Preparing and presenting technical presentations on our products and services.

- Supporting and providing clear communication while negotiating contracts and MSA with clients.

Qualifications include a minimum of 5+ years sales experience, a minimum of 8 years experience working within the Oil and Gas Upstream space, a Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience required, and a valid driver's license.
Key competencies include an in-depth understanding of current oil and gas market conditions, a strong technical understanding of Coiled Tubing and Hydraulic Fracturing, a demonstrated network of contacts within our target client list, strong communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional listening, good oral (formal and informal) and well-developed written communication skills, excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills, self-motivation, and a team player mentality, as well as computer proficiency.
